Remember, security can be broken into 3 parts…Prevention, Detection, Recovery!

For prevention some simple things YOU can do today…

No user named ADMIN!

Strong Passwords – http://correcthorsebatterystaple.net

Use 2 step authentication like Clef or other plugins.

Only give users permissions they need.

Keep WordPress and Plugins Up to dated!

Delete plugins and users that are not being used.

More advance prevention can be provided by using the iThemes Security Plugin.  FREE!

BACK UP your site! Find out what your host provides but don’t rely on it souly.

Backup the database, your theme, anything you care about not loosing!
